Essex born, East London raised, Becca Folkes the urban Christian artist is taking the music industry by storm. However, it was her story that created the survivor within.
Rebecca Katherine Folkes was molested. Physically for eight years. And was mentally and emotionally abused. Silenced for ten years. Under the radar, she sat with the weight on her shoulders none the wiser to anyone. However now at 22 years old, the gloves are off and she is ready to help bring awareness to abuse.
Debuting in 2014 with her first EP her powerhouse vocals saw her following demand more which saw the release of her second EP which has taken her around the UK and Europe receiving recognition within the music and media industry.
With her versatility and sound setting her apart as an urban Christian female artist in the genre, the UEA nominee lent her vocals in 2017 to Stormzy, Guvna B and SteffLondon. Also sharing the stage that year with American artists like Jason Nelson, The Walls Group and Tasha Cobbs Leonard, the singer-songwriter also supported the 2017 MOBO winners Volney Morgan & New Ye on their latest tour.
